Programme Overview

The Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Data Science is a four-year undergraduate programme designed to develop strong knowledge and practical skills in data analysis, statistics, programming and machine learning. The programme covers areas such as data visualisation, databases, artificial intelligence, predictive modelling and big data technologies, preparing graduates to analyse complex information and support evidence-based decision-making across a wide range of industries.

Applicants seeking admission to the BSc in Data Science programme are normally required to meet the following criteria:

A secondary school certificate (or equivalent), preferably with a background in science or mathematics, with a minimum 80% marks or above.
Satisfactory academic performance in mathematics and related subjects.
Successful completion of the university admission process, which may include aptitude tests, achievement tests, or preparatory year programmes depending on the institution.
Submission of all required documents, including academic transcripts and identification documents.

Applicants who did not complete the Saudi secondary school system must submit their original high school certificate attested by the Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission (SACM), obtain equivalency verification from the Ministry of Education (MOE), or provide Apostille attestation.

For applicants with international qualifications in Saudi Arabia, admission may be based on recognised certificates such as IGCSE, International Baccalaureate, or the American Diploma. IGCSE applicants must meet one of the following:

8 O-Level subjects, or
5 O-Levels plus 2 AS-Levels, or
5 O-Levels plus 1 A-Level.

A minimum grade of C in O-Level and D in A-Level/AS-Level subjects is required.
